High School Playbook

 Branham High School (San Jose) @  North Salinas High School, Saturday , 1:30 PM

This early in the season, there’s no major match-ups, but the North Salinas Vikings now have a home of their own- sort of.  This Saturday, North Salinas plays its first game EVER at the Marv Beguhl Sports Complex on the campus at North Salinas High School, game time 1:30 PM. It’s the North High’s only Varsity game of the season at the new field.  The freshmen team will play there four times this year.   North Salinas High Coach Steve Zenk and the Vikings look to contend again in the Tri-County League; last season North Salinas went 8 and 4 and made it to the CCS Large School Semi-Finals before losing – We’ll see how the Vikings do this season with the positive energy and excitement of playing on their new home field.

The Branham Bruins come to the Salinas Valley representing the Blossom Valley League, where finished in 7^th place with a 4 and 6 record last season.
